Carol Ann Carrington (Honey), 70 of Rosemount, died suddenly on Monday, March 24, 2025. Carol is preceded in death by her mother and father, James E (Jack) and Ann Updike of Higginsport, and Her sister Jackie Gabb of Ripley. Carol is survived by her husband of 52 years, Larry Carrington of Rosemount. Her son and daughter in law, Becky and Zach Carrington, also of Rosemount. Her grandchildren, Drake and Kaine. Her mothers in law Ruth Carrington and Vicki Carrington. Her big brother, David and Glenda Updike, and her little brother Jimmy (Fred) Updike. Carol is also survived by her nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles, and many friends. And her girl Gracie. All of whom she loved dearly. Honey LOVED to read. She has an extensive fiction library. Honey was also a fantastic cook. Food was her love language, and if you left her house hungry, that was probably by choice. Honey was an avid Clay Panthers fan. She knew all the boys names on all of the teams, but even if she didn’t know the kid, if they were wearing the right jersey, she was their biggest fan. And the boys loved her back for it. Honey tried to embody live, laugh, love. She was a hugger!!
Honey never met a stranger. She would talk, laugh, joke, or cry with anyone. Then there’s her devotion to Christ. Talk about a woman of faith! I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me must have been her creed. Honey wouldn’t want us to be upset, in fact she wanted this occasion to be a party. So cry if you must, but remember to smile, she loved all of you!
