Charleigh Jayne Smith passed away Monday, August 21, 2023, at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus. She was born August 16, 2023, at OSU Medical Center in Columbus, the daughter of Kyler and Sarah Poplin Smith.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her maternal grandmother, Brenda (Tony Marcum) Poplin; maternal grandfather, Charles (Rhonda) Poplin; paternal grandparents, Jason & Carla Smith; her aunts, Kara Smith, Halee Hammonds, Amelia Marcum; her uncle, Isaac Poplin; maternal great grandmother, Beverly Conley; paternal great grandfathers, Carl (Sandy) Tackett, Harold Lilly, and a special great great aunt, Betty Tackett. She was preceded in death by maternal great-grandfather, Vernon Conley; paternal great-grandmother, Jane Cable Lilly, and maternal great-grandparents, John & Elizabeth Poplin.
A graveside service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 25, 2023, at Lilly Family Cemetery, 4335 Henley Deemer Road, McDermott, Ohio 45652 with Pastor Andy Day officiating. Immediately following the service a memorial dinner will be at God & Country Church, 182 Moulton Place in Lucasville.
