It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charlene Musser, a cherished sister, a devoted friend, and an inspirational claims examiner, who left this world peacefully on January 8, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on November 7, 1942, in Portsmouth, Ohio, Charlene carved a life filled with compassion, dedication, and warmth that touched all who had the privilege of knowing her.
For 30 years, Charlene dedicated herself to her work as a claims examiner and team leader at Workers’ Compensation in Columbus, Ohio, where she was known for her meticulous attention to detail and unwavering support for her colleagues. A steadfast member of the Presbyterian Church in Columbus, she found solace in her faith and community, forming bonds that lasted a lifetime.
Charlene relished simple joys-shopping for treasures, immersing herself in riveting mystery stories, and spending time with her beloved family and her cherished dogs. Each moment she shared with her loved ones was a testament to her generous spirit and boundless love.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Lewis and Ollie (Nee Daniels) Musser, three brothers: Charles Daniels, Joe Musser, James Musser; three sisters: Mildred Stamper, Opal Kiser, and Thelma Musser.
Charlene is survived by her only sibling, Elizabeth Daniels of West Portsmouth (formerly longtime Portsmouth) resident, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, and special mention to her great nephew Isaac Trapp who was Charlene’s caregiver.
