Deputies and EMS responded to Lick Run Lyra Road after a report of a child drowning.
Fire Department medics arrived on the scene within 10 minutes and reported that the child was alert and crying. Medics requested an air ambulance.
The air ambulance landed at Vernon Elementary School, and an ambulance met them with the victim.
