We’ve reported on multiple frightening incidents involving parents calling officers in to handle out-of-control children, and the problem seems to be escalating.
Officers responded to a Chesapeake home after a mom said her child had threatened to beat her bloody with a pipe.
When officers arrived, they heard the boy yelling and continued to cuss as officers took him into custody.

She said the boy had acted unruly all day after becoming angry that he missed the school bus. The child began to tear up the house and make threats against family members.
Officers transported him to the Lawrence County Juvenile Detention Center and gave the mother information on what steps to take next.
