Officers responded to a report that a juvenile had been assaulted and was walking in the direction of the Fastop. Officers caught up with the boy, who was bleeding but refused medical attention.
Police went with the juvenile to his nearby home to speak to his father. They told the father he was responsible for the child’s safety. Police also learned that the father had previous contact about a lack of hot water and food in the home.
The dad said those issues were addressed, and he had until November 18 to take care of them. Police said they’d be back to check on things.
