Child Hit By Car on 17th Street
A boy waiting for the school bus was hit by a car on Tuesday morning just after 7 am at 17th and Linden.
According to the police report, the teen did not look both ways before crossing the street and was hit by a white SUV and knocked to the ground.
The boy’s brother said the driver got out to make sure he was okay and offered to take him to the hospital. The boy declined and decided to walk home to his Thomas Avenue Apartment.

Police said the boy hit his head on the ground and sustained knee and wrist injuries. An ambulance transported him to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
