Child Says Man Followed Him With a Gun
At 4:48 am, officers received a call from a 10-year-old in Wayne Hills who claimed he was being followed by a man with a gun, and there were no parents inside the home.
When officers arrived on the scene, they learned that two kids got into an argument and one of them decided to leave the apartment without permission and walk back to his house. He encountered a man, who he claimed ran at him. He couldn’t describe the person but thought he might have something in his hand.
Officers reminded the child and his parents of the curfew for kids.
Windows Smashed by Thieves on Adams Street
At 9:30 am, an Adams Street caller reported someone busted out the window of their parked vehicle sometime overnight.
The caller said thieves stole multiple items from them, including medication. Officers took information for a report.
At 11 am, a Gallia Street caller reported someone smashed out the window of their pickup truck overnight. The owner did not wish to file a report.
3-Vehicle Crash and 11th and Gay Blocks Traffic for an Hour
Officers responded to a report of a 3-vehicle crash at 11th and Gay just after 11 am. Witnesses said the vehicle involved in the accident was blocking the roadway.
When Officers arrived on the scene, they learned all three drivers were insured. Police took information for a report and arranged to have the vehicles towed.
The road was open by 12:16 pm.
