Portsmouth Police were once again called in to search for a child who took off from a local group home. The facility also advised that they had a different child threatening other kids at the facility.
Police caught up with the missing child on Waller Street and headed to the group home.
At the facility, the boy said he tried to look through a bathroom window after he saw steam coming from it and that another child threatened to beat him up over the incident. He said he wasn’t running away; he was just trying to get away from the conflict.
Officers contacted CPS, and workers said the children should be separated. One of the kids was transported to another group home in the area.
