Challenging the Verdict: The Christina Williams Case Reexamined

!!!! $1000 REWARD !!!!

I have been researching the Gary Markins and Nina Mannering murder that happened on January 8, 2010. No question, it was a senseless murder driven by drugs, poverty, deprivation, and sex. Christina Williams was prosecuted for the murder by a corrupt prosecutor, Pat Apel, who deprived her of a fair trial with lies, perjured testimony, and the withholding of critical evidence that would have proven her innocence. Christina Williams was sentenced to 67 years to life for a crime she did not commit and a crime she tried to prevent from happening. Scioto County Prosecutors did not care to pursue the truth, Scioto County Sheriff detectives intentionally failed to investigate the “truth.” The prosecutors and the detectives were on a vendetta, and someone was going to pay for the senseless murders. It did not matter to them whether or not they convicted an innocent person as long as someone paid for the murders. The truth did not matter. Guilt or innocence did not matter. Now, a guilty man walks free.  Christina Williams will die in prison for a crime she was not a part of and a crime that she tried to prevent from happening. This is not justice.  Christina Williams is innocent!!!

Cecil Conley and Roy Ledford were cellmates in prison prior to being released to community corrections. They escaped from community corrections in late 2009 and were on the run stealing cars and robbing known drug dealers and anyone else they crossed paths with. Both were known by the Ohio State Patrol as escapees, and authorities knew that the pair were committing robberies and auto thefts. Prior to Christmas in 2009, Conley and Ledford planned the robbery of known drug dealer Gary Markins senior. Scioto County prosecutors had proof of this and chose to lie to the jury about this fact.

The son of victim Gary Markins, Gary Markins junior, was in a difficult relationship with Christina Williams. Christina Williams was addicted to drugs; there is no question about that. Markins Junior made Christina Williams’ opioid addiction more severe by supplying her with an endless supply of drugs to keep her dependent on him and in a relationship with him. Markins Junior was also an addict. When the money ran out, Markins junior human trafficked Christina Williams to his own dad, forcing her to trade sex for drugs with the obese elder Markins senior. Markin Senior was a known drug dealer. The twisted relationship caused Markins Junior to become jealous of his own father’s relationship with Christina Williams to the point that he wanted his father dead. Markins Senior was taking advantage of Christina Williams’s opioid addiction by flying her to “pill doctors” in Florida and forcing her to have sex with him in exchange for pills for the day. Markins Junior became enraged and repeatedly tried to hire individuals to kill his own father.

When Cecil Conley and Roy Ledford arrived on the scene, Markins Junior worked with Cecil Conley and Roy Ledford to commit the botched robbery that turned into a murder. Cecil Conley broke into the home of Gary Markins senior while Markins junior stood outside the home as a lookout. Roy Ledford made sure that Christina Williams remained sedated with the Xanax pills she was fed by Markins junior, and Ledford made sure that Christina Williams did not try to interfere with the botched robbery/murder.

Christina Williams had no reason to be part of the botched robbery/murder. Christina Williams could get drugs for herself anytime she wanted by simply humiliating herself and providing sex to Markin Senior. If Markins Junior, Conley, and Ledford had been successful, her supply of drugs would have been taken from her. Christina Williams had no motive to participate in the botched robbery, and the cops and the prosecutor knew it.

!!!! $1000 REWARD !!!!

Prosecutors Pat Apel and Julie Hutchinson were on a vendetta to convict. It did not matter if Christina Williams was guilty or innocent. They wanted her to pay with her life for the murder of Gary Markins and Nina Mannering. Pat Apel made deals with jailhouse informants to lie about Christina Williams about facts they knew were not true. The deals have recently been discovered. Pat Apel had detectives lie to the jury about facts both the prosecutor and the detectives knew were not true. That has recently been confirmed with screenshots, transcripts, newly discovered evidence, and the depositions of the detectives. Pat Apel himself lied to the jury about facts he knew were not true. Pat Apel convinced the jury that only Christina Williams could have worn the women’s K Swiss shoes to the crime scene because her feet were three sizes smaller than those of Cecil Conley. That was a big lie!!  The shoes need to be found to confirm the shoe size and to demonstrate that Conley’s DNA is inside the shoes.

Past elected head prosecutor Mark Kuhn and past sheriff Marti Donini were responsible for supervising the actions of the prosecutors and detectives in 2010. Either there was no supervision, or they both made a conscious decision that it was ok to incarcerate innocent people like Ms. Williams and deprive her of her freedom with lies and perjured testimony.

Current prosecutor Shane Tieman and Sheriff Thoroughman have been given the opportunity to correct the mess past prosecutors and detectives made, but so far, they have chosen not to. Prosecutor Shane Tieman and Sheriff Thoroughman could go verify Cecil Conley’s shoe size; they know where he is located. If they did that, they would have to admit that Pat Apel lied to the jury and correct the perjured testimony.  Prosecutor Shane Tieman and Sheriff Thoroughman could go and find the murder weapon and the shoes, but so far, they have decided to shove it under the rug and act like it doesn’t exist. As servants of the people of Scioto County, they should be working diligently to make sure that justice is served and innocent people are not going to die in prison.

I need the public’s help to right this wrong!! I have turned over evidence demonstrating Ms. Williams’s innocence to head prosecutor Shane Tieman and Sheriff Thoroughman and requested them to reopen the investigation. Shane Tieman and Sheriff Thoroughman do not care if an innocent person dies in prison. All they care about is covering up the corruption that occurred in the past Scioto County government. I provided them with the location of the murder weapon and the location of the shoes worn by Cecil Conelly on the day of the murder. Shane Tieman and Sheriff Thoroughman do not care and will not investigate.

The 32 caliber revolver can be found “going north on 104 from Portsmouth towards Lucasville where the Briar Patch, the motocross track and Lucasville Minford road and 348 all intersect, halfway between where 73 and 104 branch (73 makes a 90-degree curve) and halfway to the intersection of where 104 north and 348 intersect. It was thrown out of the passenger side window in a flat grassy area.

The shoes got tossed out in the last mile or two, where State Road 348 goes west off of State Road 104 towards State Road 73. State Road 348 immediately goes up a big hill, and then down the other side, it flattens out for several miles, heading west towards Otway, then State Road 348 west winds over another big hill. As you come down the big hill, there is a sawmill and a lumber yard. A few more miles towards State Highway 73 is a barn off to the left and a creek on the right. The shoes got tossed out in the last leg of State Highway 348, where the road narrows, there are barbed wire fences on both sides, and there are no shoulders on the road. One shoe got tossed out to the right and one to the left. The shoes are K-Swiss brand women’s shoes, possibly white and burgundy or white and red.

I will pay a $1000 reward to anyone who can find either the shoes or the revolver that was used in the commission of the crime described above. If you find both, I will pay $2000. Prosecutor Shane Tieman and Sheriff Thoroughman don’t care if justice is done, or they would go find this evidence. I need the public’s help in finding these critical pieces of evidence. If you find them, please use your phone, take lots of pictures, and send them to SCDN and me, then call the sheriff’s office with the precise location. If they fail to respond, call me at 303-726-7826 or notify SCDN.
