PPD and the Scioto County Coroner are investigating the death of a woman in a 5th Street apartment on the 4th of July.
Officers and EMS were called to Hudson House for a report that a 43-year-old woman was not breathing just before 11 am. The caller said CPR was in progress.

However, medics confirmed that the woman was deceased, and officers called in the coroner. The coroner’s office took possession of the deceased to transport her to the Montgomery County Medical Examiner for further forensic investigation.
Officers also called paramedics and the drug crisis response team for a man at the scene. He refused offers of drug treatment but did allow medics to transport him to SOMC.
