Coroner Investigates After Tragedy on Jackson Furnace Road
A tragic discovery on Jackson Furnace Road. A caller contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office to report a neighbor came home and discovered his girlfriend apparently deceased from what appeared to be an overdose.
The man ran to a neighbor’s house to call for help. Dispatch sent an ambulance and deputies to the scene. Medics confirmed that the woman was indeed deceased. Deputies contacted the coroner and notified the deceased’s next of kin.
A transport from the coroner’s office took possession of the deceased pending an investigation.
Woman Refuses To Leave Bar – Cops Play Taxi
A patron of Oscar’s Restaurant & Lounge refused to leave the bar, prompting employees to call the police.
An officer picked the woman up and drove her home to New Boston. PPD made sure she had keys to get into her home and advised her to stay inside for the evening.
