Coroner Investigates Death at Quality Inn
Officers and EMS responded to the Quality Inn at 7 am after a man called 911 to report he’d found his coworker dead in a room. He said he feared the coworker had overdosed.
Medics confirmed the man was deceased, and deputies contacted the Scioto County Coroner. A transport from the coroner’s office took possession of the deceased.
Burglar Hits Sciotoville Home
A Wanda Road resident contacted officers at 11 am to report a burglary at her home. She said she came home to find her daughter’s bedroom window open.
After checking the home, the woman discovered her prescription medication was missing. She suspected that the thief was a neighborhood teenager. Officers took information for a report.
Grand Theft Auto Reported on Chillicothe Street
A woman contacted police at 2:40 pm to report her vehicle was stolen from the 200 block of Chillicothe around 2 pm.
She said she’d managed to track it to the 1500 block of Charles. Officers determined that the vehicle had been impounded and towed to the City Service Lot.
The woman attempted to get items from the vehicle at the impound lot, but could not since she didn’t have an ID on her. She returned the next day to retrieve her wallet and some paperwork from the vehicle.
Rollover Accident on US 52
Just before 6 am, officers and EMS responded to a report of a single-car rollover accident on US 52.
Deputies stayed at the scene until Ohio State Troopers arrived. EMS personnel said there was only one person in the vehicle, and they managed to free them.
