CPS workers contacted Portsmouth Police just after 5 pm to say they were headed to check on a child after receiving a disturbing tip.
The caller said a man was sexually abusing a child and that trafficking may be involved.
Workers headed to a PMHA apartment building, but no one came to the door. They said they would try again the next day.

Officers accompanied CPS back to the apartment the following day, but there was still no answer at the door.
