Two frightening calls in one day had Scioto County law enforcement and medics racing into action—and thanks to their quick response, two lives may have been saved.
🟠 Disturbance at the Speedeemart:
- Witnesses at a Wheelersburg convenience store reported a shirtless, intoxicated man
- The man told officers he was down on his luck and wanted to end his life
- Deputies stayed with him until medics arrived
- He was transported to the hospital for urgent mental health care
🟣 Runaway in Lucasville:
- A 12-year-old girl ran off into the woods during what deputies say was a mental health crisis
- Officers launched a quick search and found her safe<span data-ccp-props=”{“134233117″:true,”134233118″:true,”201341983″:0,”335559740″:240}”>
- The child was transported to the hospital by ambulance for care and evaluation
