Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Careys Run-Pond Creek Road after a chaotic domestic incident between a mom and daughter where the daughter said her mother attacked her with scissors.
The first call came in just after 10 am. The daughter said the mom put her hands on her and threatened to stab her. The mother admitted threatening to stab the daughter.
However, both parties refused to press charges, and deputies told them to call back if there were any more problems.
Around noon, the daughter called back and claimed her mother broke her nose and cut off her hair. Dispatch said they heard the mom screaming in the background.
When officers arrived on the scene, they realized the situation and arrested the daughter, Kaley Smith, for domestic violence.
Smith was arraigned in front of Judge Mowery. A temporary restraining order was issued. Smith is due back in court on August 12th.
