The director of a local daycare refused to turn over information to a concerned mom, which prompted her to call the cops.
The mom said she had full custody of the child, and her ex brought the child to the facility. She said he did so without her permission and requested documents from the center showing the child had been enrolled.
The center’s director told the mom she didn’t have any paperwork and she wasn’t going to give her any. When an officer spoke to the director, she said she’d never filled out paperwork, and she wasn’t handing it over to the mother because she didn’t have to.
Officers advised her they’d seen the mother’s court papers, and she was required to turn over the information. The director told police she’d never seen the paperwork she did not care, and had likely thrown any paperwork to do with the child away.
Officers advised the mother of her options.
