Deborah Mae McClary Crabtree, 73, of Lucasville, Ohio passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026 at her home. She was born November 7, 1952 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late James Chester McClary and Emma Bernice Crabtree McClary.
She was united in marriage to Thomas Franklin Crabtree who preceded her in death on April 12, 2024. Surviving are a daughter, Pam (Michael) Bayless of Lucasville; a son, WIllie (Stephanie) Crabtree of Otway; grandchildren, Destinie (George) Munyon, Kenny Crabtree, William (Skilah) Crabtree, Colton Jones, Devin (Riley) Stewart, Emily Mason, Noah Bayless, Emma (AJ) Bayless, Michael (Kaileigh) Bayless, Madyson Thomas, Devon (Katlyn) Thomas, Melina (Hunter Russell) Crabtree and Tommy (Jocelyn) Crabtree; 20 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert, Jerry (Beth) McClary and Tom (Mary) McClary; and a sister, Rita (Terry) Altman.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Ray Crabtree; brothers, James and Raymond McClary; and sisters, Judy Hobbs, Betty Bittinger and Rosalee Lute.
Deborah was a caregiver for over 50 years. She was an avid bird lover, flower lover and she loved spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2026 at McCullough Baptist Church in Lucasville with Bob Davis and Doug Altman officiating. Burial will follow in Cooper Cemetery. The family will recieve friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway.
