Deborah Sue Rawlins, 59, of Scioto Furnace, passed away Monday, October 19, 2010 at SOMC. She was born September 22, 1961 in Waynesburg, PA, a daughter of the late William Joseph and Phyllis Pearl Phillips Belford.
Debbie worked in housekeeping at the former Greenbriar Nursing Home. A 1979 Portsmouth East High School graduate, she was a Christian and she loved to knit and work puzzle books. More than anything, she loved spending time with her grandson, Dakota.
Surviving are her daughters, Ashley Sue Rawlins of Wheelersburg and Amber (Lon) Montgomery of MI; a son, Adam Rawlins of WV; three sisters, Dorri Belford of Portsmouth, Denise Sowards of Columbus and Kristie Worthington of Portsmouth; seven grandchildren, Dakota Rawlins, Breanna, Trinity, Lila and Lelon Montgomery, and Brant and Brice Rawlins; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and their families; and her best friend, Annette Peck of Wheelersburg, with whom she loved attending concerts.
A Celebration of Debbie’s life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home.
