Deputies Discover Pot Growing Operation in Franklin Furnace
Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies responding to a report of an assault in Franklin Furnace uncovered a marijuana grow operation.
Just before 2 am, a woman called 911 to report her husband and knocked her down, and she couldn’t move her hand. When officers and EMS arrived at the scene, the parties had gone to separate rooms.
The woman refused medical treatment, but officers discovered a pot growing room in the home. Deputies took the man into custody and confiscated all of his pot plants.
Wanted Man Busted After Traffic Stop on Gallia Street
A traffic stop on Gallia Street led to the arrest of a wanted man at the BP. Officers pulled the vehicle over around 11:30 am and learned the driver had an open warrant from the Adult Parole Authority.
They allowed the female passenger to wait with the car until the registered owner could arrive and claim the vehicle.
Police booked the man into the Scioto County Jail.
Loose Dog Terrorizes Timmonds Avenue
Officers responded to Timmonds Avenue just before 1 pm for a report of people arguing. When officers arrived on the scene, they learned the argument was over a dog running loose and chasing residents.
Officers learned the dog warden and also received the call and was on the way to the neighborhood. Officers advised neighbors not to argue and make the situation worse.
The dog warden advised the animal’s owners of city ordinances regarding loose dogs.
