Deputies Intervene to Save Injured Dog
Officers had to issue an ultimatum to the owner of a dog in order to force him to get medical treatment for the animal.
Right around 11:30 am, a resident of Clinton Furnace Road reported that a neighbor’s dog was on the property and that the dog had blood on its neck.
Officers checked on the dog and contacted the dog warden. A humane agent asked the owner if they were willing to surrender the dog, but he refused.
Officers gave him 48 hours to get treatment for the dog or face officers seizing the animal.
