Workers from the Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities asked deputies to check on the welfare of a child after a report from a school bus driver.
The driver said they dropped a child off at its home and noted a strong chemical smell. It was also noted that the child had several minor burn marks on him recently, and officials were concerned the child might be exposed to drugs.
Deputies observed no marks on the child and did not smell any chemicals. They did note a slight odor of marijuana. Offices determined there didn’t seem to be anything concerning in the home.
