A quick-thinking deputy revived an overdose victim after responding to a call of an unresponsive man. When the officers arrived on the scene, they spotted the man lying at the bottom of a hill in some gravel.
The deputy administered a dose of Narcan, but the patient was still unresponsive. After administering a second dose, the deputy began sternum rubs and tried yelling at the man.
The man eventually woke up. He told the deputy he’d taken Fentanyl. EMS transported the man to the hospital for treatment, and the officer gave him a pamphlet outlining his treatment options.
