Just before 11 am, deputies investigated a text for help to 9-1-1. Dispatchers received a text asking for law enforcement and determined the name of the person who owned the phone and their address.
When officers arrived at the Protctorville home, they met with a man who was unable to speak due to a disability. However, he was able to write down details of a disturbing incident. He said his former wife showed up at his home yelling and screaming at him.
The man, who cannot hear, said he couldn’t make out what she was saying. He said he wrote that down on a notepad, and the woman responded by slapping him in the face.
Officers noted a red mark on the man’s face. They photographed the injury and took information for a report.
This issue gets more complicated when the man goes to the Sheriff’s Department the following day. We will follow up with part 2 of this complicated story in tomorrow’s newsletter.
