Donald Wayne Jones, 87, of Wheelersburg, entered peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Monday, December 1, 2025 at his home. Born December 18, 1937 in Oklahoma City, OK, he was the son of the late Mark and Beatrice (Judkins) Jones. Donald faithfully worked as an Ironworker and was a proud member of Iron Workers Union #769. More importantly, he lived his life with a servant’s heart, humility, and trust in God.
Donald is survived by his son, Mark Jones, and two cherished grandchildren, Eli Jones, and Ava Jones. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna Joann Jones on April 6, 2014.
Though he will be deeply missed, his family takes comfort in knowing he has been reunited with his wife and now rests in eternal peace with Christ.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace with Pastor Mark Seavers officiating. Family and friends will gather to honor Donald’s life, celebrate the hope we have in Christ, and commit his earthly body to rest while rejoicing that his spirit is alive in glory.
