Just before midnight, a driver said they spotted a child by the side of the road on US 52. When they stopped to check on the child, the boy said he heard a noise outside, and when he went to check on it, he got locked out of the house.
An officer responded to the scene and learned where the child lived. Police woke up the boy’s grandparents and returned him to them.
