Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Super 8 on US 23 after a child said his intoxicated father had chased him around while threatening him with a weapon. The child said his mom and sister were still in the room with his dad.

Additionally, the son said his father had stabbed him on another occasion.
When officers arrived, they reviewed the security video and decided that no crime had occurred. They released the heavily intoxicated dad into his wife’s care.
