Officers headed to Pershing Avenue after a reckless driver plowed through someone’s yard just before 5 pm. Neighbors said the driver lived nearby on Marne Avenue.

When officers arrived at the scene, they followed the tire marks and found a truck parked in a front yard. The driver was just getting out of the vehicle along with a passenger.
Officers said the pair smelled like alcohol. Troopers discovered the driver’s license was suspended and took the man into custody for OVI.
Another Marne Avenue resident contacted officers at 11:30 am to make a report about a reckless driver doing burnouts in the area the night before. Dispatch checked the call logs and let the caller know the driver had been arrested.
