Deputies headed to the Super 8 on US 23 after an employee reported a drunk man was outside the hotel throwing things at people and causing a disturbance.
They called back a few minutes later to say the man’s friends had gotten him back inside and called him down. However, a few minutes later, he tried to start a fight with another guest.
Ohio State Troopers detained the man in the back of their cruiser while deputies investigated.

The man’s coworkers said they did not want to press charges, and the hotel staff said if the man returned to his room calmly, he could continue to stay at the hotel.
Officers cautioned him to behave and sent him back to his room.
