Edna Loraine Brown was born on February 21, 1926, and entered Heaven’s Gate on Friday, July 29, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Brown; father, James Buckley; mother, Grace Conley Blakeman; brothers, Everet and Burt; son, Jerry; grandsons, Rusty and David, and sons-in-law, Lonnie Williams and Larry Gahm.
She and her husband Albert Brown united to raise a blended family of six children. They worked together to build a home and a successful business. When Albert passed away she retired to live closer to a daughter. She enjoyed working in her yard, reading, traveling to the Smokies, Southern gospel music, and her church families at Blue Run and especially Minford Bible Baptist – she loved her church and the Lord.
She is survived by sons, Albert Jr., and James Sexton; daughters, Norma Redden, Rita Gahm, and Sandra Yurosko; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Sexton; grandsons, Jerry, Jeff, John, Dickie, Bryan, Donnie, Scott, Philip; granddaughters, Jennifer, Jamie, Joy, Mary, Jody, Heather, Valerie, and Vanessa. She also leaves 24 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her strength, grace, and generous spirit. We will dearly miss her until we meet again.
The family would like to thank her caregivers, Tish, Sandra, Sam, and SOMC Hospice for their excellent care.
