An elderly man having a health crisis had one heck of a time getting an ambulance to take him to the hospital.
It all started at 10:30 pm when Lawrence County EMS contacted Scioto County Dispatch to report they had an elderly patient with a medical crisis who only wanted to go to SOMC for treatment.
Lawrence EMS asked if Green’s squad could respond to transport the man. Green’s supervisor said they would not respond to a call out of the township and county.
Lawrence County had previously contacted Portsmouth Ambulance, but they said they had no crews available. They said they would attempt to contact EMT Ohio to see if someone could take the man to the hospital.
