Esther D. Crisp, 93, of Wheelersburg, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026 at The Courtyard in Wheelersburg. She was born July 28, 1932 in Vanceburg, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Conner and Bertha (Horsley) Goodwin. Esther was a former employee of Williams Shoe Factory, a homemaker, and was a member of Sunshine Church of Christ. Esther loved gardening, cooking and was hospitable opening her home to many people. She loved her grandchildren, family and church.
She is survived by three daughters, Kaye Inoshita (Dr. Tsuyoshi) of Wheelersburg, OH, Dianne Clemens (Stephen) of Cincinnati, OH and Robin Wright (Randy) of Panama City Beach, Florida; one step-son, David Crisp of South Webster; multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Hazel Goodwin of Vanceburg, KY, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Robert R. Mason on May 29, 1970; her 2nd husband, Eugene Crisp on February 9, 2023; a son, Henry Mason; step-daughter, Gina Anderson; five brothers, Homer Goodwin, Lovell Goodwin, Leo Goodwin, Otha Goodwin, George Goodwin, and three sisters, Gladys Cuerden, Goldie Fannin, Dorothy Kelly.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Courtyard of Wheelersburg for their extraordinary care and compassion for their mother for the last 8 years. They would also like to thank Heartland of Hospice for treating their mother with dignity and respect during her last days, and a special thank you to her caregiver and friend, Francelle.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Monday, January 12, 2026 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with John Partlow officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
