Evelyn E. Colegrove-McCann, 77 of Vanceburg, Kentucky, a former Clarkstown resident, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at SOMC Medical Center in Portsmouth. Born April 13, 1944 in Scioto County, a daughter of the late Otis William Hinkle and Delma Jordan Hinkle, she was a 1961 graduate of Valley High School and was a faithful member of 8th Street Wesley Chapel in West Portsmouth. She was a Pastor’s wife, principal-administrator of Highland Bend Christian Academy and an employee of Kiddie Land Daycare.
She is survived by her husband, Floyd Dean McCann; two sons, Patrick William Colegrove, Matthew Thomas Colegrove; two daughters, Tammy (David) Ramey, Beth (Brent) Conley; five grandchildren, Nathaniel David Ramey, Ryan Thomas Ramey, Bethany Lee Conley, Hannah Marie Conley, Victoria Elizabeth Colegrove; half-sister, Otisa Horn, and a special niece, Sandy Packard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Colegrove, and one sister, Helen Hinkle.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2021 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Harold Cox officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
