A man officers say they are very familiar with kept law enforcement busy after he made off with a motorcycle that was offered for sale on Facebook Marketplace.
It all started just after 8:30 pm when a Lawrence County man contacted officers to report a theft.
He said he’d put his motorcycle up for sale on Facebook Marketplace and met up with Skylar Corbin at the Dollar General so he could check it out.
Skylar asked to take the bike for a test drive, then jumped on it and took off. He drove around looking for the man, but called 9-1-1 when he couldn’t find him.
Officers were very familiar with Corbin, saying they’d dealt with him multiple times. Shortly after that numerous calls of a man speeding on a motorcycle began to come into 9-1-1, and it didn’t take deputies long to catch up with Corbin.
When deputies turned on their lights and signaled for him to pull over, he took off in the direction of Ironton and led officers on a chase down ST. Rt. 93 until he ran into some rocks at a roundabout and fell over.
Deputies took him into custody and returned the bike to its rightful owner.
