A Family Dollar employee won’t be winning any employee of the month awards after she took off with two deposits of cash that were supposed to go to the bank.
Deputies responded to a theft call involving an employee. The area supervisor told officers that an employee was supposed to take an $1800 deposit to the bank on 10/3, but when the company examined their banking records, they learned the money never made it.
The employee was supposed to take another deposit worth $1200 to the bank five days later. But, once again, the money, never made it to the bank.
When loss prevention checked the video, they had a video of the woman taking the money from the store. When management tried to question the woman, she became angry, tossed her key on the table, and quit.
Deputies said they would follow up and attempt to speak to the employee.
