A Franklin Furnace family contacted police after reporting a disturbing series of alleged break-ins involving sexual demands and unwanted touching—but ultimately chose not to pursue charges.
According to a 911 call, a man allegedly entered a family member’s home twice without permission, each time behaving in a sexually aggressive and alarming manner.
In the first incident, reported to have happened several days earlier, the caller said the man forced his way into the house, then banged on the bathroom door while a female family member was in the bathtub, demanding pictures and insisting she show herself naked.
The second incident reportedly occurred days later. The family told police the woman woke up to find the same man inside the home, where he allegedly grabbed her buttocks and made a crude comment suggesting he could have gone further if he wanted to.
Officers responded to the scene and spoke with family members about both encounters. Despite the severity of the allegations, the family ultimately declined to file a formal report or pursue charges at that time.
Without a victim complaint, officers were limited to documenting the incident.
