The Ohio State Highway Patrol is actively investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash involving an ATV that occurred on County Road 14 near State Route 93.
The incident took place on September 4, 2023, around 8:43 p.m. The driver of the vehicle, Larry D. Blagg, a 63-year-old resident of Pedro, was operating a 2008 Honda Rancher ATV. The ATV was heading northwest on County Road 14, close to State Route 93. The ATV veered off the left side of the road, resulting in it overturning.
Tragically, Larry D. Blagg was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lawrence County Coroner’s Office. His immediate family members have been notified. The involvement of alcohol is believed to have played a role in the crash.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s investigation into the incident is ongoing. Assisting agencies on the scene included the Decatur Fire Department, Lawrence County EMS, and the Lawrence County Coroner’s Office.
