Fonda Pertuset, 90, a long-time resident of West Portsmouth went to be with Jesus on Monday, December 15, 2025. In 2017, she moved to Wheelersburg with family. She was born May 28, 1935 in Pike County to the late Albert and Opal Matthews Dunn.
Fonda was a graduate of Washington High School (Portsmouth West). Besides her love of taking care of her family, her favorite job was working in the Cafeteria at Washington-Nile Local School District retiring after 23years. She loved seeing the students every day and brightened their day.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Thurman Pertuset, whom she married on April 30, 1955, a brother Earl Dunn and 2 sisters; Winona McCoy and Alberta Graham.
Fonda is survived by 3 sons; Thurman (Pam) Pertuset Jr., Richard (Vickie) Pertuset and Philip (Peggy) Pertuset, 3 daughters; Kathy (Tony) Cooper, Patty (Mike) Mohrfeld and Gloria (Steve) Pistole, 9 grandchildren; Michelle (Donnie) Richmond, Tommy (Renee) Jones, Stacy Fasnaugh, Megan (Andy) Young, Brett Pertuset, Kyle Pertuset, Paul (Lauren) Cooper, Nathan (McKenzie) Cooper, Josh (Alli) Pistole and Hunter Pistole, 22 great grandchildren; Cole Morrison, Allie Morrison, Ethan Morrison, Chloe Morrison, Lily Moore, Laney Moore, Emily Young; Reagan Pertuset, Riley Pertuset, Reed Pertuset and Myles Thurman Pertuset; Gracie Crabtree, Alexis Crabtree; Doug Jones, Hannah Jones; Cotton Leigh Cooper, Callahan Cooper, Adaline Cooper, Amelia Cooper, Aldin Cooper; Marlee Pistole, Cohen Pistole; along with 3 great great grandchildren; Paisley, Archie and Teddy; Two brothers-in-law, George Graham and Wayne (Brenda) Pertuset; her beloved dog Annie, many other family and friends that she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, December 22, 2025 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Tony Cooper and Dean Thompson_ officiating and interment in Garvin Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 7:00 PM on Sunday and one hour prior to the funeral on Monday.
