Four-year-old Found Wandering Alone on 4th Street

Shawnee State University Police found a four-year-old girl wandering alone at 4^th and Glover Street and called in Portsmouth Police. 

Officers called the after-hours number for CPS to report the incident. Around 30 minutes later, the child’s mother called from Alexandria House Apartments, which are located on 4^th Street, to report the child missing.

Officers returned the child to the mother, but said they would file a report requesting a warrant for endangering children be issued for the mother.
