Freddie L Hodge, 75 of Portsmouth passed away Tuesday June 17, 2025, at SOMC Hospice. He was born April 8, 1950, in Portsmouth to the late Milford Hodge and Lilly Webb McGraw. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Rebecca Hodge, a daughter LaDonna Hodge, and 2 brothers, William Hodge and Russell Hodge.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 471 and was known as the man with the myth, and he would give the shirt of his back to anyone.
Freddie is survived by his loving daughters, Tammy Swim, and Crystal Hodge, his bonus daughter Stephanie Webb, a son Austin (Kylie) Hodge, 3 brothers, Donald Hodge, James “Peano” McGraw, and Paul McGraw, a sister Myrtle (Emmette) Withrow, and 7 grandchildren, John Sullivan, Andrea (Danny Smith), Brittany (Hunter Blacker), Trenton Swim, Trevor Swim, Shelby Hodge, and 13 great grandchildren, Axel, Maciee, Kaiden, Camron, Carmen, Bekka, Abel, Emori, Wade, Eliana, Patrick, Emmett, Brooklyn, Bri, which whom he all loved very much. Not only was he a loving father to all his children and great grandchildren but he would help anyone and everyone.
Funeral services will be 1PM Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with interment in Rocky Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday starting at 11AM. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfunealhome.com
