George W. Ward 72 of Portsmouth passed away on August 16, 2020, at SOMC in Portsmouth. He was born April 6, 1948, in South Shore, KY to Edward and Sylvia (McDow) Ward. George worked as a rubber mixer in a rubber plant. He enjoyed working on word search puzzles.
He is survived by a long time special friend Janice Raines of Portsmouth; two brothers, Bob ward and Melvin Ward, both of Vanceburg, KY; and his puppy dogs, Patches “Pat Pat”, and Rosebud.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy and Mikie Ward and three sisters, Tiny Ward, Patty Collier, and Diane Henderson. Arrangements are private and services will be held at the convenience of the family. Wolfe – Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville is handling the arrangements.
