Ghislaine Maxwell was arrested around 8:30 a.m. Thursday in Bedford, New Hampshire. The charges are that she conspired with Jeffery Epstein to sexually abuse minors.
The six-count indictment alleges that Maxwell aided Epstein to groom girls as young as 14 years old for sexual abuse. “In some instances, Maxwell was present for and participated in the sexual abuse of minor victims,” the indictment says. The charges go back as far as 1994. She could appear in Federal Court as early as later today.
The indictment includes two counts of conspiracy, enticement of a minor to travel to engage in illegal sex acts, illegally transporting minors for sex, and two counts of perjury.
William Sweeney, the FBI assistant director-in-charge in New York, did not mince his words during the news conference.”Today we announce the arrest of one of the villains in this investigation,” adding that Maxwell had “slithered away to a gorgeous property to New Hampshire”.
In the 18 page indictment, which is available for our SCDN VIP members right now, includes very specific encounters where Maxwell would also engage in sex acts with the girls she had procured for Epstein. According to the documents, these were attempts for her to “help normalize” the sexualized behavior during the grooming process of such young victims.
