Two women ended up in custody after a domestic dispute spun out of control. Deputies were called to a Chesapeake home just after 11 am. A woman said her live-in girlfriend had argued with her and then thrown a lamp at her. She said she’d punched the girlfriend but later apologized.
However, the next morning, the two began arguing again, and the girlfriend grabbed her, pushed her out the door, and hit her. She admitted she’d “beat the shit out of her,” and the girlfriend responded by throwing a broken lightbulb at her. She responded by biting her finger, pulling her hair, and hitting her in the head.
The girlfriend told a different story. She said the other woman had punched her and hit her with a tray for no reason. She became angry when the other woman refused to fight.
Officers observed a bite wound on the finger and injured knuckles on both individuals. Both women wanted to file charges.
Police took photos of the damage to the home, noting a knocked-over knife block and shattered glass. Officers took both women into custody for domestic violence.
