Local law enforcement responded to multiple incidents involving drugs. Sadly, most of them were nothing out of the ordinary, but one call on the log really stood out.
A woman contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office to discuss an incident while her mother was babysitting her child the day before. She said the woman had overdosed. Officers checked the EMS records and did see that there was a call to the house, and the patient was not transported to the hospital.
Just before 2 a.m., Portsmouth officers and EMS responded to Sycamore Street for a report of an overdose.
By the time officers arrived on the scene, someone had revived the man with Narcan. Portsmouth Fire Department medics checked out the patient and cleared him.
At 2:28 a.m., a caller reported an unresponsive man in an SUV near one of the pumps at Speedway. The man’s wife arrived on the scene and took him home.
