Suspicious Activity
County Dispatch relayed a call to Portsmouth police just after 1 am. A man was crying and saying someone tried to grab him. Police responded to the Marathon on Gay Street to investigate but could not locate the man.
Domestic Disturbance
At 1:09 am, officers received a complaint from a mom and daughter in a screaming match on Highland Avenue. The mom said the daughter hit her. Police say it’s an ongoing issue between the two. They offered the mom advice on how to handle it.
Under the Influence
An intoxicated man stumbling through Portsmouth and New Boston got the attention of two police departments. The man was headed through New Boston towards Sciotoville. An officer took him home to his wife who said she had been looking for him. He’d recently undergone treatment for alcohol abuse.
The manager of a 6th Street business told police that an employee had turned drugs over to her that were allegedly given to her by another employee. An officer took possession of the suspected drugs.
Troubled Woman Exposes Breasts During Dispute
A troubled woman with whom officers have almost daily contact stirred up trouble just before 1 pm. Officers responded to a call from a complainant who said the troubled woman accused her of something and then pulled up her shirt to shirt to show her naked breasts.
The troubled woman also called in to police to say she hadn’t done anything wrong. Police were unable to locate either the troubled woman or the complainant.
Man Drops Pants at Spartan Stadium
At 3 pm, a caller reported an apparently high man dropping his pants and urinating at Spartan Stadium.
Officers caught up with the man at Charles and Boundary and advised him not to urinate in public. The man said he was going home to take his medication.
