The man in charge of managing the $90 billion retirement fund for Ohio teachers has been suspended while the Ohio Attorney General investigates accusations of very bad behavior on the job.
Bill Neville, who is the executive director of Ohio’s teacher retirement plan stands accused of making sexual comments on the job, pitching violent fits in the office, and showing favoritism.
Neville has also been accused of making risky investments leading to billions of dollars in losses while still awarding big bonuses to fund employees even though retired teachers have seen very little in the way of cost-of-living increases in their pension.
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost said he takes the allegations seriously and plans to conduct a thorough investigation.
