Deputies responded to City National Bank after a woman discovered someone had emptied her bank account.
The woman headed to the bank after her daughter informed her she only had $100 left in the bank when the balance should have been over $11,000. When bank officials checked the account, they spotted her home health aid’s cash app multiple times on her statement.
The woman said the aid does have her PIN number and helps her by filling out checks that she signs. She said the aid had been employed since March, and numerous fraudulent transactions had happened between April 12 and May 5.
The bank said it would pull the security footage from the ATM withdrawals. Officers took information for a report and further investigation.
