A homeless man on probation was arrested for the 77th time in the wee hours of Friday morning.
Officers arrested Matthew Lockart for probation violation and criminal trespass. The troubled 37-year-old has dozens of arrests to his name.
Despite a spokesperson for Adult Probation telling SCDN that, to their knowledge, no one on probation was currently homeless, Lockhart is listed as homeless in the eight appearances he’s made in Portsmouth Municipal Court since May of 2022.
His previous arrests include over a dozen probation violations and multiple arrests for disorderly conduct, criminal trespass, and theft.
