The area’s homeless problem seems to be getting worse every day. People with no place to go are setting up housekeeping in the most unlikely places.
Just before 3 p.m., employees of Aaron’s on Walnut Street reported that someone was living on the roof of their building.
They said someone had pitched a tent on the roof and was using the electric meter to climb up there to live. Police suggested the store try to block off the electric meter and call them immediately if they heard or saw the guy on the roof.
Around 2 a.m., police investigated two suspicious vehicles parked in York Park. Officers learned that both contained homeless people who were sleeping in their vehicles.
