House Boarded Shut With Woman’s Cat & Medications Inside
A frantic woman contacted Portsmouth Police just after 2 pm to report she’d come home and found the Charles Street home she lived in had been boarded up.
The woman said her belongings, her cat, and her cancer medication were inside, and she was unable to access them.
Officers attempted to contact the property owner without any luck. The woman had no proof of address to show she lived in the home, so officers were unable to take her inside to collect her belongings. They advised her it was a civil issue and that she would have to go to court to get her things from the house.
